Investment committee

 

The investment committee seeks to implement the reserves policy as defined by the finance committee and approved by CFA UK's Board by reviewing quarterly the position of the society’s investment and operating reserves; reviewing quarterly proposed investments or adjustments to investment positions; and agreeing at committee meetings new investments or adjustments to positions and requesting that the finance director, treasurer and/or committee chair execute agreed transactions promptly and with due care.

Main responsibilities

The committee's terms of reference additionally state that the committee should:

  • Prepare and agree committee meeting minutes and to report regularly to the finance committee and to the Board
  • Be chaired by a member of CFA UK’s Board
  • Involve the treasurer as a member
  • Prepare a report for inclusion in the society’s annual report
  • Seek out and appoint volunteers such that the committee is suitably resourced.
