CFA UK exams are assessed via computer based testing using standard multiple choice questions, item sets and gap-fill style questions.
Exams are delivered at test centres or via OnVUE remote proctoring, both of which are administered by CFA UK’s testing partner, Pearson VUE.
The Computer Based Testing walkthrough below enables candidates to experience the testing experience prior to taking their actual examinations. Candidates will be able to navigate through the test and become familiar with the functionality available to them.
Please note: this demonstration uses mock questions for the IMC examination. These practice questions should NOT be viewed as a primary source of learning. By its nature, a practice exam will only cover proportion of the learning outcomes. Candidates are strongly advised to develop a fundamental understanding of the curriculum in order to demonstrate the competence required to pass the examination.'
This is a sample test consisting of 17 IMC examination questions designed only to allow all CFA UK candidates to familiarise themselves with the functionality of the live exams.
Candidates are advised to familiarise themselves with the onscreen whiteboard alongside the sample test. The demo to the whiteboard can be accessed here.
The CBT walkthrough is not a live exam, will not be scored and candidates will not receive a pass / fail result at the end.
Similarly, candidates will not be asked to complete a survey on their testing experience as they would normally be asked to do at the end of their exam.
