Thank you for registering for your Examination with CFA Society of the UK.

Important information

Your registered name must exactly match the identification that is presented at the test centre on the day of your exam or you will not be able to take your examination. If you need to change these details, please email qualifications@cfauk.org.

This registration is valid for the next 12 months. If you do not take the exam within this period your registration fee will be forfeited.

Please check that CFA UK has your contact details (primary address, delivery address etc) in your candidate area. Result letters and certificates will be posted to your primary address.

1. Scheduling your examination with Pearson Vue
After receiving this email, you must wait two (2) working days to schedule your exam with Pearson VUE - you will not be permitted to schedule your exam before this time.

To access the Pearson VUE website and schedule your exam you will need:
• Your CFA UK username – this is the email address you registered with
• Your Pearson VUE password – this can be accessed in the My Pearson VUE section of your candidate area

2. You will need to present ID on the day of your exam.

2.1 At a test centre:

For candidates taking an examination in the UK:

• A currently valid signed Passport of any country containing the candidate's photograph and signature.*
• A currently valid UK Driving Licence (full or provisional) that carries the candidate's photo and signature. *

*Note: If the candidate presents a biometric type of the above identification which does not allow for a signature, they must present a second form of ID which contains their signature.

For example:

• Current, original European Union (EU) only government issued identity card.
• Current, original government issued National ID card for any country in the European Union (EU).
• Current Credit/Debit or bank card.

For candidates taking an examination outside the UK:

• A currently valid signed Passport of any country containing the candidate's photograph and signature. *
• A valid National Identity card from an EU country. A valid National Identity card will only be accepted when issued for the county in which the examination is being taken e.g. a Swiss Identity card is acceptable only in Switzerland. *
• For candidates taking an examination outside of the EU, a valid National Identity card can be accepted when issued for the country in which the examination is being taken. *

*Note: If the candidate presents a biometric type of the above identification which does not allow for a signature, they must present a second form of ID which contains their signature.

For example:

• Current, original European Union (EU) only government issued identity card.
• Current, original government issued National ID card for any country in the European Union (EU).

2.2 For OnVUE Online Proctoring

Please be prepared to show one (1) valid form of unexpired, Government-issued personal ID. The Government-issued ID must have your photo.

Examples of acceptable identification:

• Passport
• Driver's licence
• Military ID (including spouse and dependents)
• Identification card (national or local)
• Registration card (such as green card, permanent resident, visa)

Please note that we are unable to accept the following ID:

• Renewal forms with expired ID
• Government-issued name change documents with Government ID

Photocopies of the above are not acceptable.

      4. What to expect on the day of your examination

Please note: from 1 June, all candidates taking an IMC exam will be required to use the onscreen calculator. Candidates should familiarise themselves with the onscreen calculator by using this demo test (http://vue.com/athena/athena.asp) . Handheld calculators will not be permitted.

Candidates taking an exam at a test centre will be provided with a physical wipe board to write notes on. Candidates taking an exam via OnVUE Online Proctoring will be able to use the onscreen whiteboard facility. The use of pen and paper for notes is not permitted.

5. Results notification timetable
